Beginner II class schedule
1. Undulations:
- forward undulations (full body, just top, just bottom)
- reverse undulations (full body, just top, just bottom)
- sideways undulations (add arms)
- moving with undulations: camels, lower body rolls (pelvic rolls)
2. Arabic footwork
- 1-5, drill on it on both feet
- associated turns: FCBD open/twist, keyhole turns in ¼,
½, full, and ¾ variations
3. washerwoman
4. ¾ shimmies, on top and bottom
- walking with hip shimmies
- tilting with shoulder shimmies
- shoulder shimmies with push (old Ghawazee style)
5. laybacks and backbends
- deep laybacks (protect back)
- layback with double accent (undulation in middle)
- Mel/Karin pivot layback
- layback with snake arms
- FCBD layback with Egyptian arms out to side
