Safa

Safa's dance style is a combination of many influences.  She has attended numerous workshops and classes.  She feels her moves are too much of a mix to be attributed to any one country or style, but she would like to acknowledge Awalim and Ghawazee as two of her primary influences.

no servants killed 
or giant piles of unmoving 
stone to mark my demise

no prayers no sobbing phone calls 
to a death-faced mortician 
with dollar sign buried 
in his pale eyes no 
fear no shiny capsule 
in huge darkness  with 
only gases and Gene Roddenbury 
for company no bath 
of icy air saving my 
frozen body until 
there is a cure for death
