Middle Eastern Dance Classes

The dancers of Ghawazee offer Middle Eastern Dance classes in various locations in and around Pittsburgh, PA. Currently we offer classes:

All Levels Fridays 7pm-9pm at the Joy School of Dance in Crafton, PA (Joy School: 412-922-0907 Call Olivia for info: 412-422-1127)
All Levels Saturdays 11:30am-1pm; Yoga Sadhana Studio (3rd Flr) at 1113 E. Carson St, South Side Pittsburgh, PA
Advanced/Intermediate Saturdays 1:30pm-3pm; Yoga Sadhana Studio (3rd Flr) at 1113 E. Carson St, South Side Pittsburgh, PA

Joy School Classes are $7, Yoga Studio classes are $10 -- please wear comfortable clothing (long skirt with pants underneath and a scarf are suggested).

Please phone or email Olivia at 412-422-1127 with any questions or for directions to the Joy School and to check on specific class times (occasionally classes are rescheduled -- so try not to just "show up" for your first time).

Special Class: Folk-Tribal Bellydance

Olivia is teaching a new dance class through Calliope School of Folk Music, Dance and Crafts.

The class will explore the basics of Middle Eastern Dance with an emphasis on the folk aspects, movement with and around other dancers, and dynamics between dancers, including providing percussion for each other through hand clapping and stomping.
